Day 01: ... / LIMA
Upon arrival, reception and transfer to selected hotel. The city of Lima was founded by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro on January 5, 1535, the eve of the Epiphany of the Magi – from which it derived its evocative original name of La Ciudad de los Reyes or “The City of Kings”. It is a colonial city of rare fascination and unexpected pleasures; with quiet elegant corners among ancient buildings where the night air is scented with jasmine. Overnight in lima.

Day 02: LIMA
After breakfast, approximately at 10.00 am, you will start your Culinary Tour visiting a traditional market for a demonstration on the different varieties of Peruvian fishes, vegetables and fruits. On the way you will watch an audiovisual presentation about the quality and variety of Peruvian food. Then you will head to one of the best restaurants in Lima, where you will participate in an interactive cooking class on how to prepare Ceviche, the Peruvian fish delicacy. Then you will continue with the tour with a guided visit to a Pisco tavern and cellar. On the way you will watch an entertaining audiovisual presentation on the history and processing of Pisco. Once in the tavern you will learn how to prepare Pisco Sour and other Peruvian cocktails, having a good chance to taste our famous national liquor, Pisco, a brandy distilled from grapes. To finish the day you will enjoy lunch at a typical restaurant, which includes the best and most traditional dishes of Peruvian cuisine. On the way you will watch a video about Peruvian food history, including comments from the most renowned Peruvian chefs. After lunch, before returning to your hotel, you will visit a well-known local boutique where you can buy Peruvian cookbooks and souvenirs. At night you will enjoy, with its magnificent views and privileged location over the Pacific Ocean, an unforgettable dinner at La Rosa Nautica. Excellent cuisine based on Peru’s wealth of seafood complemented with meat and poultry. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Lima.

Day 03: LIMA
After breakfast, at mid-morning, you will enjoy a special City Tour designed especially for those who want to discover a different face of Downtown. You will walk along Lima’s main attractions and make strategic stops at the most famous bars of downtown Lima where you will taste different drinks and enjoy different experiences in each one. Your first stop will be at the Bar Cordano, founded early the 20th century by Italians, where you will have a typical sandwich as a snack; then you will visit the Bar Maury, where the Pisco Sour was invented; and finally you will visit El Bolivarcito where you can try one of the best Pisco Sours in Lima. Return to your hotel. At late afternoon, you will enjoy a guided nocturnal city tour to the imposing Historical Center of Lima, where you will appreciate Lima’s main squares, buildings and churches wonderfully illuminated. Then you will visit the Magical Circuit of the Water, where technology applied in these sources corresponds to most modern in the field of the cybernetic sources, allowing the accomplishment to a variety of choreographies, including laser effects. Within the several amazing sources, the Magical Source of more than 80 meters of height outstands. After the tour you will enjoy dinner at Restaurante Huaca Pucllana, adjacent to a wonderful pre-Columbian site that figures unique scenery. This place, a classic in Lima’s gourmet circuit, combines innovation and the traditional flavors of Peruvian cuisine. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Lima.

Day 04: LIMA / CUSCO
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to selected hotel. You may find the altitude a little hard to handle at first so we recommend the rest of the morning to rest and acclimatize. At the appointed time you will enjoy a guided tour to the most magical city, former capital of the Inca Empire, experiencing the architectural legacy visible in many buildings and ruins. This guided sightseeing tour includes The Plaza de Armas, surrounded by colonial arcades, The Koricancha (Temple of The Sun); The Cathedral, dating back to 1559; among other colonial churches. Then you will be driven out the city to enjoy an amazing countryside lunch surrounded by the the impressive Inca Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, one in a kind experience. Lunch is prepared using ingredients from the region with a Mediterranean touch, allowing you to enjoy the fullest Andean flavors in a magical and unique location. After lunch you will visit the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman overlooking Cusco, a true testimonial to Incan architectural skills; Qenko (The Labyrinth), an Incan shrine dedicated to Pachamama or Mother Earth; the small red fortress of Puka Pukara; and Tambomachay, a sacred fountain known as the Baths of the Incas. Transfer to your hotel. At night you will enjoy dinner at Inka Grill Restaurant, finely decorated with an artistic selection of rustic Inca pottery, weavings and Andean artwork. Its convenient location right in Cusco’s Main Square allows you to enjoy a beautiful view of the plaza’s two ancient churches. The restaurant offers the best of International, Creole and Novonadina cuisine. Walking return to your hotel. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 05: CUSCO / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
After breakfast, transfer to the train station to board the morning train service to Machu Picchu and the village of Aguas Calientes (little town on the foot of Machu Picchu). This spectacular journey through the Sacred Valley by narrow gauge railway to Machu Picchu is one of the world’s great travel experiences. The train follows the meandering Urubamba River through beautiful farmlands and picturesque villages. Machu Picchu, hidden by mountains and the semi-tropical jungle, is widely considered the most spectacular sight on the South American continent and the most renowned examples of Incan architecture. Upon arrival, a bus waits for a half-hour ride up several switchbacks to take you to the actual site to enjoy your guided tour through the main spots in this breathtaking Incan citadel, including The Main Plaza; The Royal Quarters; The Temple of the Three Windows; The Circular Towers; The Sacred Sun Dial; and The Burial Grounds. Machu Picchu, the master jewel of the Incas, demonstrates this culture high level of architectonic development and their superior knowledge in astronomy and astrology. After the visit you’ll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge Hotel, adjacent to the Inca citadel, before boarding the afternoon train service back to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel. At night you will enjoy dinner at MAP Cafe, located in the Pre-Colombian Art Museum’s patio inside a charming glass structure. Here you will enjoy the wonders of the Novoandina cuisine. This cuisine mixes Andean ingredients with modern techniques to create new and inventive dishes. Walking return to your hotel passing through the beautifully illuminated Main Square. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 06: CUSCO / VALLE SAGRADO / CUSCO
After breakfast you will enjoy a full day guided excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas experiencing unforgettable view as you cross over the mountains from Cusco and drop down into the Urubamba Valley. The road follows the meandering Urubamba River and passes through rich agricultural lands and picturesque villages. Upon arrival to the colorful town of Pisac you will visit its lively and colorful Indian market. Here locals, following ancient traditions, sell and exchange a variety of crafts (textiles and pottery). After visiting Pisac you will stop for a delicious Andean lunch in the charming Hacienda Huayoccari, located on the summit of a hill sheltered amidst Andean peaks, where you will find one of the finest views of the Sacred Valley. In la hacienda you will be able to admire the valuable collection of colonial and popular art the Lambarri family posses. Finally you will continue to the Inca fortress and the village of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the Valley, protecting it from possible invasion from the tribes in the lower jungle. This astounding feat of construction and ingenuity is considered a Living Inca Town as it is the only Inca settlement that has been continually inhabited since its inception. Above the village, the Incas built an impressive fortress that included a temple, agricultural terraces and an urban area. Ollantaytambo, considering its distribution, was an important administrative center with military functions. Transfer to your hotel. At night you will enjoy dinner at La Cicciolina Restaurant, for many the best restaurant in Cusco. This place offers a very special cuisine with Mediterranean cooking techniques mixed with Andean Ingredients. All dishes focus on unusual spices and accents, with a number of adventurous dishes. Day 07: CUSCO / LIMA / ...
After breakfast, at the appointed time, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Lima and international connection.
