Day 01:

Upon arrival, reception and transfer to selected hotel. The city of Lima was founded by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro on January 5, 1535, the eve of the Epiphany of the Magi – from which it derived its evocative original name of La Ciudad de los Reyes or “The City of Kings”. It is a colonial city of rare fascination and unexpected pleasures; with quiet elegant corners among ancient buildings where the night air is scented with jasmine. Overnight in lima.
Day 02:
LIMA
After breakfast, you will enjoy a half day guided tour to Lima, where you will appreciate Lima's main attractions of its three different historical periods: Pre-Hispanic, Colonial and Republican. The tour will begin visiting one the most traditional residential areas in the capital: El Olivar of San Isidro, to then continue with a visit to the Huaca Pucllana, a ceremonial and administrative centre that was considered by the Incas to be a holy site. Afterwards, you will visit the Historical Center of Lima, where you will admire San Martin Square, The Main Square, The Government Palace, The Archbishop’s Palace, The Cathedral, and City Hall Palace. Moreover, you will enjoy a guided tour inside the Convent of Saint Francis, which houses the biggest collection of colonial religious art in America. Inside you will walk through the choir room, the monk’s library, the Sacristy, the big patio of the main cloister and the subterranean crypts or catacombs, where you will feel the presence of Lima's colonial past. After the visit you will enjoy a delicious lunch at Las Brujas de Cachiche. This place offers a very varied buffet of Creole dishes made with great respect for their original recipes. After lunch you will visit Enrico Poli Museum, where after a brief introduction to the museum, you will enjoy a guided visit, made by Mr. Poli himself, appreciating an extraordinary set of Pre-Hispanic gold and silver objects and colonial art; one of the best collections of this kind in the world. Return transfer to your hotel. At night you will enjoy dinner at Astrid & Gaston Restaurant, one of Latin America's most renowned restaurants. Day 03:

After breakfast you will enjoy a guided tour to Larco Museum, housed in a unique colonial residence dating back to the XVII century. This fabulous museum includes the exquisite Collection of Peruvian Gold and Silver and a famous pre-Hispanic Erotic Art Hall. You will continue with the tour, visiting the National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History. The old Colonial mansion housing this museum was an old residence of Peru’s Liberators. It is considered Peru’s museum per excellence and houses the Estela Raymondi and the Tello Obelisk monuments, two important carved stone pieces dating back to the Formative period 1000 years B.C.. After the tour you will enjoy a delicious lunch at Francesco Restaurant, without doubt the best Peruvian restaurant for seafood. This restaurant maintains the tradition of the extraordinary tiradito and tasty pastas. The Miami branch keeps winning Zagat’s awards. Transfer to your hotel. Rest of the afternoon at leisure to rest or walk by your own through the cosmopolitan district of Miraflores well-known for its shopping areas, gardens, flower-filled parks and beaches. Day 04:
LIMA / CUSCO
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to selected hotel. You may find the altitude a little hard to handle at first so we recommend the rest of the morning to rest and acclimatize. At the appointed time you will enjoy a guided tour to the most magical city, former capital of the Inca Empire, experiencing the architectural legacy visible in many buildings and ruins. This guided sightseeing tour includes The Plaza de Armas, surrounded by colonial arcades, The Koricancha (Temple of The Sun); The Cathedral, dating back to 1559; among other colonial churches. Then you will be driven out the city to enjoy an amazing countryside lunch surrounded by the the impressive Inca Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, one in a kind experience. Lunch is prepared using ingredients from the region with a Mediterranean touch, allowing you to enjoy the fullest Andean flavors in a magical and unique location. After lunch you will visit the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman overlooking Cusco, a true testimonial to Incan architectural skills; Qenko (The Labyrinth), an Incan shrine dedicated to Pachamama or Mother Earth; the small red fortress of Puka Pukara; and Tambomachay, a sacred fountain known as the Baths of the Incas. Day 05:
CUSCO / VALLE SAGRADO / CUSCO
After breakfast you will enjoy a full day guided excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas experiencing unforgettable view as you cross over the mountains from Cusco and drop down into the Urubamba Valley. The road follows the meandering Urubamba River and passes through rich agricultural lands and picturesque villages. Upon arrival to the colorful town of Pisac you will visit its lively and colorful Indian market. Here locals, following ancient traditions, sell and exchange a variety of crafts (textiles and pottery). After visiting Pisac you will stop for a delicious Andean lunch in the charming Hacienda Huayoccari, located on the summit of a hill sheltered amidst Andean peaks, where you will find one of the finest views of the Sacred Valley. In la hacienda you will be able to admire the valuable collection of colonial and popular art the Lambarri family posses. Finally you will continue to the Inca fortress and the village of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the Valley, protecting it from possible invasion from the tribes in the lower jungle. This astounding feat of construction and ingenuity is considered a Living Inca Town as it is the only Inca settlement that has been continually inhabited since its inception. Above the village, the Incas built an impressive fortress that included a temple, agricultural terraces and an urban area. Ollantaytambo, considering its distribution, was an important administrative center with military functions. Transfer to your hotel. At night you will enjoy dinner at La Cicciolina Restaurant, for many the best restaurant in Cusco. Day 06:
CUSCO / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
After breakfast, transfer to the train station to board the morning train service to Machu Picchu and the village of Aguas Calientes (little town on the foot of Machu Picchu). This spectacular journey through the Sacred Valley by narrow gauge railway to Machu Picchu is one of the world’s great travel experiences. The train follows the meandering Urubamba River through beautiful farmlands and picturesque villages. Machu Picchu, hidden by mountains and the semi-tropical jungle, is widely considered the most spectacular sight on the South American continent and the most renowned examples of Incan architecture. Upon arrival, a bus waits for a half-hour ride up several switchbacks to take you to the actual site to enjoy your guided tour through the main spots in this breathtaking Incan citadel, including The Main Plaza; The Royal Quarters; The Temple of the Three Windows; The Circular Towers; The Sacred Sun Dial; and The Burial Grounds. Machu Picchu, the master jewel of the Incas, demonstrates this culture high level of architectonic development and their superior knowledge in astronomy and astrology. After the visit you’ll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge Hotel, adjacent to the Inca citadel, before boarding the afternoon train service back to Cusco.
