Day 01:
... / LIMA
Upon arrival, reception and transfer to selected hotel. The city of Lima was founded by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro on January 5, 1535, the eve of the Epiphany of the Magi – from which it derived its evocative original name of La Ciudad de los Reyes or “The City of Kings”. It is a colonial city of rare fascination and unexpected pleasures; with quiet elegant corners among ancient buildings where the night air is scented with jasmine. Overnight in lima.
Day 02:
LIMA
After breakfast, you will enjoy a guided visit to the Villa Marshes. Here, in these typical coastal marshes, you will be looking for several species of ducks (White-checked Pintail, Cinnamon Teal, Speckled Teal, Andean Duck, among others), Peruvian Thick-knee, Great Grebe, Gray Gull, Snowy Egret, Little Blue Heron, American Kestrel, Rufus-collared Sparrow, Shiny Cowbird, among others species. If time allows it, you will head to the port of Pucusana looking for Gulls, Terns, Humboldt Penguins, among other seabirds. Return to your hotel. Overnight in Lima.
Day 03:
LIMA / CUSCO
After breakfast, early morning transfer to the airport to board your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the morning at leisure to rest and acclimatize. In the afternoon you will enjoy a guided birding excursion to the Huacarpay Lake and marshes. These Wetlands, a RAMSAR site, will show you a nice complement to the coastal Villa marshes in Lima. The lake is surrounded by Inca and pre-Inca ruins making it an interesting touristic point. Here you will see a variety of high Andean waterfowl birds including the Puna Teal, the Andean Duck, the Silvery Grebe, the Yellow-winged Blackbird, among others species. Moreover in the surroundings our champions will be the Rusty-fronted Canastero and the spectacular Bearded Mountaineer. Return transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 04:

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Boca Manu. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to the dock, where a motor boat ride will take you to Manu Wildlife Center Lodge. Upon arrival, after a short briefing, you will settle into your beautiful cabaña for a refreshing siesta. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will explore some of the clean forest trails that surround the lodge, having an excellent chance to encounter a unique fauna. Return to the lodge. After dinner, a night hike through the forest trails will take you to the Amazon’s largest known tapir clay lick. Return to the lodge. Overnight at lodge.
Day 05:
MANU WILDLIFE CENTER
After an early breakfast, a short boat ride will take you to the spectacular parrots and macaws large clay lick. Smaller visitors include the White-eyed, the Cobalt-winged and the Dusky-cheeked parakeets. After the birds leave you will visit an oxbow lake on our way back to the lodge. After a late lunch, you will enjoy a birding excursion on the trails. The area around this lodge has the most forest types (bamboo, varzea, terra firme and mature transitional floodplain) of anywhere in the Manu area and thus the highest bio-diversity, which means the most species of birds. Although investigation on birds is in its early stages it is expected that this lodge area holds more species of birds than anywhere else in the world, while the bird list is already over 600 species. Return to the lodge Overnight at Manu Wildlife Center.
