Day 01:

Upon arrival, reception and transfer to selected hotel. The city of Lima was founded by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro on January 5, 1535, the eve of the Epiphany of the Magi – from which it derived its evocative original name of La Ciudad de los Reyes or “The City of Kings”. It is a colonial city of rare fascination and unexpected pleasures; with quiet elegant corners among ancient buildings where the night air is scented with jasmine. Overnight in lima.
Day 02:
LIMA / CUSCO / VALLE SAGRADO
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to selected hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, as the Valley is lower than Cusco it is much easier to handle altitude and acclimatize faster. On the way you will experience an unforgettable view as you cross over the mountains from Cusco to the majestic valley. This valley was the agricultural centre of the Incas, ranging from Pisac to the citadel of Machu Picchu, boasting some of the most breathtaking scenery in all Peru. The road follows the meandering Urubamba River and passes through rich agricultural lands and picturesque villages, where you can witness the lifestyle of the present Andean inhabitants. Day 03:
VALLE SAGRADO
After breakfast, at the appointed time, you will enjoy a full day excursion to the "Sacred Valley of the Incas", over Urubamba River. This majestic valley was the agricultural center for the Incas, ranging from Pisac to the citadel of Machu Picchu, boasting some of the most breathtaking scenery in all Peru. Once at the colorful town of Pisac, you may shop in its lively and colorful Indian market, where locals following ancient traditions sell or exchange a variety of crafts. Then you will enjoy an excursion to the Archeological Complex of Pisac, one of the most beautiful monumental centers; since it combines the landscape with the impeccable finishing of its constructions. It is located at the highest hill of the city, on a dry and rocky surface. Just like it happened with other Incan constructions, some investigations state that it was not a fortress but a "royal hacienda", property of Inca Pachacutec. This hacienda was composed by cultivation terraces, household and ceremonial structures and aqueducts that provided the water for the agricultural development. After lunch you will continue with the excursion, passing through the towns of Calca and Urubamba, to the village of Ollantaytambo. This astounding feat of construction and ingenuity, is considered to be the best example of Inca city planning. The village is the only Inca settlement that has been continually inhabited since its inception. Above the village, the massive fortress of Ollantaytambo, this formidable stone structure is a magnificent example of ancient Inca architecture and heritage. Return transfer to your in Sacred Valley. Day 04:
VALLE SAGRADO / MARAS / MORAY / VALLE SAGRADO
After breakfast you will enjoy a full day mountain bike excursion to The Archeological Site of Moray, The Colonial Town of Maras and its salt mines, always followed by a support vehicle. You will start the excursion in Chinchero, climbing several hills, witnessing scenes of rural Andean life, before arriving at The Archeological Site of Moray, unique in its kind, which was believed to be an important center for the domestication, acclimatization and hybridization of wild plant species that were adapted for human consumption, in many ways an Incan experimental biology station and greenhouse. After retracing your route briefly, you will continue through a mostly flat and downhill route for about 45 minutes to the village of Maras, where you will enjoy a box lunch. After lunch, you will get back on your bike for a mostly downhill ride to the Salt Mines of Maras. An age-old salt mines, where its ponds are fill every three days, during the dry season, with salt water that comes from natural springs at the top of the complex, and when the water evaporates the salt is left for collection and future commercialization. Finally you will ride downhill into the Sacred Valley town of Urubamba. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Sacred Valley.
Day 05:
VALLE SAGRADO / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
After breakfast, transfer to the train station to board the morning train service to Machu Picchu and the village of Aguas Calientes (little town on the foot of Machu Picchu). This spectacular journey through the Sacred Valley by narrow gauge railway to Machu Picchu is one of the world’s great travel experiences. The train follows the meandering Urubamba River through beautiful farmlands and picturesque villages. Hidden by mountains and the semi-tropical jungle, Machu Picchu is widely considered the most spectacular sight on the South American continent and the most renowned examples of Incan architecture. Upon arrival, a bus waits for a half-hour ride up several switchbacks to take you to the actual site to enjoy your guided tour through the main spots in this breathtaking Incan citadel, including The Main Plaza; The Royal Quarters; The Temple of the Three Windows; The Circular Towers; The Sacred Sun Dial; and The Burial Grounds. Machu Picchu, the master jewel of the Incas, demonstrates their high level of development and the superior knowledge achieved in astronomy and astrology. After the excursion you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch of traditional Peruvian cuisine, before boarding the afternoon train service back to Cusco. Day 06:
CUSCO
After breakfast you will enjoy a half day horseback riding guided excursion to the main archaeological sites around Cusco. First you will ride to Qenko, where you will visit the Temple of the Moon and Lanlacuyoc, an Incan shrine dedicated to Pachamama or Mother Earth, where you will admire a large limestone rock completely covered with carvings and an underground labyrinth of sacred tunnels. Then you will ride through beautiful sceneries in your way to Puka Pukara, a small ruin known as the Red Fort, and Tambomachay, known as the Baths of the Incas, a centre for the worship of water. Finally you will ride to the impressive Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, a true testimonial to Incan architectural skills. From here you will enjoy an spectacular view of the red-tiled roofs of Cusco and it’s the breathtaking countryside. After the excursion, transfer back to your hotel. In the afternoon you will enjoy a walking guided tour through the most magical city in the Andes, former capital of the Inca Empire. In this tour you will admire the architectural legacy visible in many buildings and ruins. This guided sightseeing tour includes The Plaza de Armas, The Koricancha (Temple of The Sun), The Cathedral, La Compañia and La Merced. After the tour, return to your hotel. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 07:
CUSCO / LIMA / IQUITOS
After breakfast, at the appointed time, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Iquitos, via Lima. Upon arrival, reception and, after brief city orientation, transfer to the Explorama dock at the Amazon River, where a motorized boat ride will take you to Ceiba Tops Lodge. Upon arrival, after a short briefing, you will settle into your beautiful cabaña for a refreshing siesta. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will enjoy a hike along the "Lake trail" or an open boat excursion through lowland rainforest that will give you an excellent introduction to the environment of the jungle. After dinner, you will enjoy a night guided excursion seeking for nocturnal animals, while enjoying the sounds of the rainforest. Overnight at Ceiba Tops Lodge.
Day 08:
CEIBA TOPS LODGE
After an early breakfast, you will enjoy a morning birding excursion along the "Bushmaster Trail", where scientific studies by the Missouri Botanical Gardens have found the world's highest biodiversity of trees per square hectare. Then you will visit a small village of Yagua Indians, where you will have an opportunity for a demonstration of the customs and traditions of this tribe. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will enjoy an open boat excursion in search of the two species of freshwater river dolphin found in Amazonian waters. It will also be a good chance for an afternoon swim. Overnight at Ceiba Tops Lodge.
Day 09:
CEIBA TOPS LODGE / EXPLORNAPO LODGE/ CEIBA TOPS LODGE
An early morning motorized boat ride will take you to the mouth of the Napo River and then to the ExplorNapo Lodge. After breakfast, you will enjoy an excursion to the spectacular canopy walkway, a suspended bridge connected by tree platforms, to enjoy landscapes and vistas that would be unimaginable from below, millions of species, many still undiscovered, spend their entire lives in this realm. After lunch, you will visit the "ReNuPeRu" Ethno botanical Garden, where over 240 medicinal plants are cultivated by a local shaman who will explain the nature of Amazonian natural healing and the uses of some of the plants. Return to Ceiba Tops Lodge. Overnight at Ceiba Tops Lodge.
Day 10:
CEIBA TOPS LODGE / IQUITOS / LIMA
After breakfast, you may choose between a morning walk along an Amazon River trails or a river boat excursion to enjoy for the last time the Amazon wildlife. In the afternoon, at the appointed time, motorized boat transfer to Iquitos. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to the airport to board your flight to Lima. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to selected hotel. Overnight in Lima.
Day 11:
LIMA
After breakfast, at the appointed time, after a 35 minutes drive, you will enjoy a guided tour to The Sacred Citadel of Pachacamac, temple of the deity of the same name believed to be creator of the universe. The site is comprised of pyramidal temples and enclosures built by successive pre-Colombian civilizations and the Incas. Once in the citadel you will enjoy a guided tour visiting it main attractions like The Temple of Pachacamac, The Sun God Shrine and The Palace of the Chosen Women or Virgins of the Sun. Also you will visit the on-site museum which houses an idol of Ichima o Pachacamac. After the tour, return transfer to your hotel. On the way, if time allows it, you may enjoy quick visit to the traditional and bohemian district of Barranco, where outstands the beautiful Bridge of Sighs.
