Day 02: LIMA / CUSCO / VALLE SAGRADO
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to selected hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, as the Valley is lower than Cusco it is much easier to handle altitude and acclimatize faster. On the way you will experience an unforgettable view as you cross over the mountains from Cusco to the majestic valley. This valley was the agricultural centre of the Incas, ranging from Pisac to the citadel of Machu Picchu, boasting some of the most breathtaking scenery in all Peru. The road follows the meandering Urubamba River and passes through rich agricultural lands and picturesque villages, where you can witness the lifestyle of the present Andean inhabitants. In the afternoon, at the appointed time, you will enjoy an excursion to the colonial town of Maras, its salt mines and The Archeological Site of Moray. Once in the colonial town of Maras, you will admire its colonial church made with sun dried mud bricks decorated with Cusquenian school canvases, from the quechua painter Antonio Sinchi Roqa Inka, native from Maras. Then you will visit the age-old salt mines and ponds, which every three days, during the dry season, workers fill the ponds with salt water that comes from natural springs at the top of the Maras Complex, and when the water evaporates the salt is left for collection and future commercialization. Afterwards, you will continue to Moray, an unique group of archaeological remains, which was believed to be an important center for the domestication, acclimatization and hybridization of wild plant species that were adapted for human consumption, it was in many ways an Incan experimental biology station and greenhouse. After the excursion, transfer back to your hotel in the Valley. Overnight in the Sacred Valley.

Day 03: VALLE SAGRADO
After breakfast, at the appointed time, you will enjoy a full day excursion to the "Sacred Valley of the Incas", over Urubamba River. This majestic valley was the agricultural center for the Incas, ranging from Pisac to the citadel of Machu Picchu, boasting some of the most breathtaking scenery in all Peru. Once at the colorful town of Pisac, you may shop in its lively and colorful Indian market, where locals following ancient traditions sell or exchange a variety of crafts. Then you will enjoy an excursion to the Archeological Complex of Pisac, one of the most beautiful monumental centers; since it combines the landscape with the impeccable finishing of its constructions. It is located at the highest hill of the city, on a dry and rocky surface. Just like it happened with other Incan constructions, some investigations state that it was not a fortress but a "royal hacienda", property of Inca Pachacutec. This hacienda was composed by cultivation terraces, household and ceremonial structures and aqueducts that provided the water for the agricultural development. After lunch you will continue with the excursion, passing through the towns of Calca and Urubamba, to the village of Ollantaytambo. This astounding feat of construction and ingenuity, is considered to be the best example of Inca city planning. The village is the only Inca settlement that has been continually inhabited since its inception. Above the village, the massive fortress of Ollantaytambo, this formidable stone structure is a magnificent example of ancient Inca architecture and heritage. Return transfer to your in Sacred Valley. Overnight in Sacred Valley.

Day 04: VALLE SAGRADO / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
After breakfast, transfer to the train station to board the morning train service to Machu Picchu and the village of Aguas Calientes (little town on the foot of Machu Picchu). This spectacular journey through the Sacred Valley by narrow gauge railway to Machu Picchu is one of the world’s great travel experiences. The train follows the meandering Urubamba River through beautiful farmlands and picturesque villages. Hidden by mountains and the semi-tropical jungle, Machu Picchu is widely considered the most spectacular sight on the South American continent and the most renowned examples of Incan architecture. Upon arrival, a bus waits for a half-hour ride up several switchbacks to take you to the actual site to enjoy your guided tour through the main spots in this breathtaking Incan citadel, including The Main Plaza; The Royal Quarters; The Temple of the Three Windows; The Circular Towers; The Sacred Sun Dial; and The Burial Grounds. Machu Picchu, the master jewel of the Incas, demonstrates their high level of development and the superior knowledge achieved in astronomy and astrology. After the excursion you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch of traditional Peruvian cuisine, before boarding the afternoon train service back to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to selected hotel in Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.

Then you will drive out the city to enjoy a guided visit to the nearby ruins, visiting the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman overlooking Cusco, a true testimonial to Incan architectural skills; Qenko (The Labyrinth), an Incan shrine dedicated to Pachamama or Mother Earth; the small red fortress of Puka Pukara; and Tambomachay, a sacred fountain known as the Baths of the Incas.
