The Peruvian Amazon is a tropical paradise for bird watching and features many birding highlights and specialties. Imagine yourself birding in one of the most avian diverse region in the world, the Peruvian Amazon rainforest, home to over 550 species of neo-tropical birds. For sure you will enjoy seeing, hearing, identifying, and experiencing the habitat of some of the most exotic birds on earth.
In this trip, led by native Amazonian Naturalist Guides, you will have the opportunity to walk along the famous canopy walkway 35 meters above the ground, the longest walkway of its type in the world; explore from the Amazon River edge to interior black water lakes looking for unique species of birds; and walk around pastures and small open fields to environments deep within the Primary Rainforest searching for rare species of birds.

AMAZON CONSERVATORY OF TROPICAL STUDIESPICALES / CEIBA TOPS LODGE
Early morning guided birding excursion to the canopy walkway. Boat transfer to Ceiba Tops Lodge. Afternoon Amazon jungle guided excursions. Overnight at Ceiba Lodge.

Morning guided birding excursion to a giant Ceiba tree. Boat transfer to Iquitos. Transfer to airport. Flight to Lima and international connection.
