Iquitos, on the Peruvian Amazon, is a tropical Paradise for bird watching and features many birding highlights and specialties. Imagine yourself birding in the most avian
diverse region in the world, the Peruvian Amazon rainforest, home to 560 species of neo-tropical birds. In this trip you will have the opportunity to see, hear, identify, and experience the habitat of some of the most exotic birds on earth.
You will have the opportunity to walk along the famous canopy walkway 35 meters above the ground; explore some Varzea forest, oxbow lakes and new and old river islands to look for different birds; bird at night in search of an impressive set of night birds; and finally explore The Allpahuayo Mishana Reserve, a special ecosystem that harbors a unique set of specialist birds including recent species discovered to science.
