This spectacular region of glittering turquoise lakes and sparkling White Mountain peaks that spread along the Callejon de Huaylas, is a dazzling valley stuck between two mountain ranges, the Black and White Cordilleras, well-known by its impressive glaciers, within them the tallest peak in Peru, The Huascaran (6,768 m). Along the Callejon de Huaylas you will find picturesque and pleasant towns. In addition to its spectacular lagoons like Llanganuco and its thermal baths, is ideal for practicing adventure sports. Also, this area was where the Chavin Culture, matrix culture of the Peruvian civilization, develops between 1200 and 200 b.c, being its master piece Chavín de Huantar, one of Peru’s most renowned archeological monuments.
