Overview: The Ceremonial City of Cahuachi is located at the lower section of the Nazca Valley, virtually in the middle of the desert. Since 1982 the Italian Archaeologist Giuseppe Orefeci has begun a tireless work uncovering the ancient city of the Nazca people. The archaeological complex covers an area of 24 square kilometers and within its territory exist huge pyramids, temples and platforms. The ceremonial center of Cahuachi has a great architectonic importance and according to experts was the main sacred ceremonial place of the Nazca people. Some archeologists believe that the habitants of Cahuachi were the constructors of the Nazca lines.

| Title: NATIONAL RESERVE OF PAMPAS GALERAS |

Overview: The National Reserve of Pampas Galeras makes up of 6500 hectares which own to the peasant community Lucanas and is located at an elevation of 4200 m.a.s.l. The main purpose of this Reserve is to protect the vicuna and promote the development of the population settled there. The management of the reserve's fauna was initiated in 1965, and after a long 30 years of constant work, they succeeded in recuperating the vicuña population. This natural reserve houses mainly hundreds of vicuñas and guanacos, beautiful animals that can be seen running freely through the Andean plateau. The reserve houses roughly 70% of the vicuñas population in the world. In addition to these animals, one also can see the famous Andean rodent known by the locals as Viscacha, as well as eagles, ducks and the famous Andean condor.

| Title: MARAS SALT MINES AND MORAY |

Overview: The colonial town of Maras is located over a plain from which it is possible to admire the snow capped mountains of La Veronica at 5,682 meters and Chikon at 5,530 meters. Towards the northwest of the town, at a walking distance, are located the famous Maras salt works to which some people call salt mines. These are constituted by 3,000 small ponds roughly 5 square meters in size, constructed in a slope of the Qaqawiñay mountain. At 7 kilometers southwest from Maras the unique archeological site of Moray is located. It is famous for its sunken amphitheater, which appear to disappear into the earth like an artificial crater. The site was apparently an Inca agricultural research station designed for experimenting with crops at various altitudes and temperatures, creating the conditions or micro climates that in modern times people create in greenhouses.
